Summit Ski Area is a family-friendly Mt. Hood ski area
Summit Ski Area was established in 1927, and is the second oldest continuously operating ski area in the United States. Summit’s base elevation is 4,000 ft. and has 306 ft. of vertical lift for skiing and snowboarding. Summit Ski Area caters to families and novices. Summit also offers snow tubing.
Summit Ski Area Health & Responsibility Guidelines
On-hill capacity for tubing and skiing is limited. Summit Lodge capacity is limited. Food and Beverage is takeout only. Masks are required in lines and in the base area at all times. Staff will enforce mask and distancing requirements. Tickets can be purchased outside at ticket booth on PEAK days and Holidays.

Dining & Lodging
Located in the village of Government Camp, the gateway to Mt. Hood
Summit Ski Area serves up takeout comfort food and Mt. Hood Brewing Co. craft ales onsite, along with hot and cold beverages. For more food and beverage offerings, Government Camp is home to several restaurants including the Mt. Hood Brewing Co. brewpub. Stay the night on Mt. Hood at Timberline Lodge or in a luxury condo at The Lodge at Government Camp.
